New laptop is ordered!

This blog is not all about scrapbooking... Today my husband helped me choose a good but quite cheap Toshiba laptop (computer) from Elkjøp (www.elkjop.no). We have one laptop here, but unfortunately our son destroyed half of the screen. My husband wants to buy a new big screen (like over 20 inches) and put this half-destroyed computer on a small side-table in the living room and use it with a new screen. Then we will have two computers here.

I hope the computer will arrive here soon. :) The computer is delivered with Windows, but I think I will let my husband install Linux as well. We do have a ordinary computer as well, but it's in the office, right next to our sons bedrom. We only use the computer when using the printer.

Tonight we're going on a concert! It's in Spektrum with Allison Krauss and Robert Plant. Think it will be nice. Our babysitter is coming here around 6 p.m. Have to buy her some diet coke.

Award given to:

I was given this nice reward this week from Cathrine Angelica! So nice of her. I will give this reward to these 4 persons:

Vibeke74:
She's quite a new scrapper, but she's developed a very nice, creative and beautiful scrapping style. The pages she make, are always full of nice embellishments and she's really good at using nice patterned papers together. She says she almost always uses sketches or scraplifts, but the results are really her style and I like it! She's good at updating her blog and visits other blogs too!

CathrineAngelica:
I'll give this back to you! The reason are: Cathrine Angelica is quite a new scrapper too, and she's has a very nice style as well. I love her vintage papers and I also like that she's scrapping pictures of herself and friends, and not always her child.
She's good at updating her blog as well - so she really deserves this reward back!

Linda:
She's a busy mom of two, but still finds time to do scrapbooking. She's good at attending competitions and loves a challenge. I like her photos - and also her style! Think she has become a really good scrapbooker. Hope to see more in her new blog.

And last, but not least:

Kristina [Xtina]:
Also a very, very good scrapbooker. I love to see her work! She's soooo good at what she does. Acutally she's one of the most talented scrapbooker I ever seen. From day one, she has been very good! And she doesn't stop to surprise me!

You find the links to their blogs here in my blog.

Award!

Look what I got from CathrineAngelica! Thanks a lot! You're so nice! CathrineAngelica wrote why she decided I should have the reward:
aktiv og herlig blogg, med masse av kreativitet:)
alt hun lager er forskjellig, og fantasifult!
kjempe flott:)

In English: active and lovely blog, with lots of creativity :) Everything she makes is different, and with fantasy! Superb!

New header!

Well, the header was new last evening. Today I got to scan it on my Epson printer/scan machine, so now it's more visible than last evening, when I only took a photo of it (in bad evening light - no daylight).

Tonight I have not had any time to scrapbook. I've been defrosting the freezer, and baking a chocolate cake for the Norwegian National Day (May 17th). I promised my mother I would bake a cake for the day. We're going away to visit my parents and watch the children in the parade. The weather is supposed to be really bad, so if it's going to rain all day, we'll probably stay inside for most of the day.

We went to the photograph today, to watch the photos she took last week (of Peder). It was a bad photo shoot, Peder was tired and all. The results were not very good. Probably we're going back in a week or two to take new photos. I think she did a very good job, but unfortunately Peder wasn't in a good mood.

I received my order from Papir i hjertet today. The paper holders were inside. They're stackable, so it's nice, I got my papers more tidy. Think I will sort them by producer (label) later.

SUSHI

I made this page a couple of evenings ago. Didn't find the time to post it before now. The picture in this layout is of my son eating sushi! Yes, he just loves sushi. Has done that since he was 6 months old! Just love to give him sushi, because it's one of our favorite food also. ;)
I used some chopsticks we bought in Vietnam in 2005 for embellishment. Do you like it? Need to check the other embellishment later. But i really love the patterned paper.

By the way, I made a new header tonight. Do you like it? I used some leftover patterned papers, Magnolia stamps, etc. I'll try to scan it later, so it will be visible.

Welcome to the world card

This card I've made tonight, for my friends newborn son. I'm going with my son tomorrow to visit the baby and mother (and maybe the baby's father too). It's made out of a toilet roll. Or whatever it's called in English ;).
Inside there are two tags.

Working

Yes, working today. Acutally today is not a ordinary workingday in Norway, but I'm still putting in some hours. I've planned an extra holiday for myself and my son in June, so I need some hours extra for my holiday.

It's not that easy to gain these extra hours during the normal weekdays, because I'm normally the person picking up my son in daycare.

Won't stay here for many hours though, will leave here by 2. pm.

Hope you enjoy your extra holiday. I will, very soon.

I made a new page yesterday. Will post it here later today.

One penny for your thoughts my darling!

This layout was made for a challenge at MN (Mammanett). I used supplies: Kaiserkraft patterned paper (I just love those papers). Prima, buttons, bling-bling, raindrops, swirls from Rhonna Farrer, and I made som thickers with my Cuttlebug and QK alfa (Roxy). The picture on the LO was taken in my sons kindergarden (daycare). I just love the look on his face.
Thanks for looking!

Learning new stuff!

This one was also made in scrapbooking class by Tove yesterday. I used acrylic paint to draw one circle, a square and used a pencil to write: laugh, play, learn. Used a lot of embellishment... The cartoon is from Tove, also the heart, the stamped flower and the fabric underneath the picture.

And even more details:

This one was also totally cool! Tove cut out the screaming bird and the bubblegum paper, the Snap-card is a little tilted... I don't bother to take another picture.

So many fun embellishments:

Scrapbooking - learning new things!

I have learned new stuff at www.papertrends.no. The teacher of this class was Tove. She's "cracy". We learned to scrapbook with playing cards (trading cards), masking tape (to write on like on this layout). We made our own patterned paper and so on...

Another new page!

This page was made for a competition on MN. I actually didn't get any votes, but it's okay. The picture was really blurry because I had to use my cellphone camera. This picture is taken with my ordinary camera. The layout was nice to make, but too much details than I usually do have on my pages.
The photo is of my sister and father, back in the early 80's. We had a motorboat, and spent every summer vacation traveling from Oslo to Sweden along the coast.

Another layout

This one was made this weekend (actually on Friday). The two in the picture are my sons best friends. To be honest, it's the one to the right that is his best friend. My son put the Tiggers there by himself, and I just had to take a picture.
The layout is a "12x6".

A beautiful day!

Hello!
Hope you all are having a nice day, today! I've been doing some shopping today. Went downtown, and bought some new sneakers (they're black, think it's my favorite shoe color). I also bought some black trousers and a top for the Norwegian National Day which is May 17th. I also bought some towels for the bathroom and some things I think I can use for scrapbooking. *hi-hi*

Not long until my friend will drive by and take me to the housewarming party I'm attending tonight. The weather is still good, hope we can enjoy some sun outside on my friends veranda.

I've made some layouts, and a card also, but because of the really bad cellphone camera, I'm not going to put it out here, until I get nice pictures. That will be tomorrow night, when my husbands back with the camera.

New page!

I know this picture is really bad. Sorry about that! It's a little blurry. But my husband took the camera with him on his trip to his parents, so I only have a cellphone camera. The layout is nicer than the picture of it says.
The pictures are from my wedding, I was 7 months pregnant (hi-hi). I've made another layout today, but it's for a contest so I won't be able to publish it until later this weekend.

Home alone :)

So now my darling boys have left me here, all by myself... Well, think I'll get to finish my exam (I'm going to hand it in later today, online). And I'm also going to do a lot of scrapbooking today. But... I don't have a digital camera here this weekend, only my cell phone. So the pictures won't be very good, though.
Hope to attend to a contest on MN, maybe two. And I plan to get to exercise also. I have been quite lazy these past weeks. Except from taking my bicycle to work every day. But it's only about 3-3,5 km there. So it's not a very good exercise.

Hope you all have a nice May 1st!
