At Sukkersøtt they have this challenge going this Christmas. It's a sort of calender challenge, with a new task each day from the 1st of December until the 24th. The challenge finishes on January 4th 2009. I will try to finish more of the tasks until then, here's what I've accomplished:
The challenge on December 1st is to make a card with a window to open. This is my try (inside the window the text is "a girl - congrats!":
Card with window closed:
On December second the challenge was to make your own background on the card. I stamped the paper (water color paper) with distress ink and used a spray bottle with water to make some "water stains":
The challenge for December 3rd was to make a card in white, beige tones. This is my try:
The challenge on December 6th is to make tags for Christmas presentes:
The challenge for day 12 in December is to make a card with hearts on, here's mine:
The challenge for December 13th was to make a card inspired by St. Lucia. Here's my card:
The challenge for December 15th is to make a card with "maskerings-teknikk":
On December 16th the challenge was to make a card with stars on it. My card has stars on the patterned paper:
The challenge on December 19th is to make a card without a stamped image. So I used patterned paper from Scrappers Choice, and the letters are cut out with my Cricut. Other embellishments are Prima flowers and some bling!:
The challenge on December 20th is to make a card with alfa sticker letters on instead of stamped text. The card says "congratulations with the boy":
Some of these cards are already published here, but I thought it was better to gather them together now.
Thanks for looking and have a really nice New Years Eve!!!

Finally some scrapbooking and a photo!
Here is a photo of my son on Christmas Eve! He really enjoyed all the presents. He had a new shirt on with a tie. Was proud when he put on a tie, just like daddy! :)
Yesterday evening I got to scrapbook a lot! My nephew and husband spent their time in front of the televison playing "motorstorm" a Playstation television game.
First a round baby card - I have to put a text on the front, but haven't made my mind up yet on what it should say:
A small card for next Christmas :):
A birthday card:
A friends card:
And yet another birtday card:
A card for a boy... don't know who yet. The stamp is one I bought at Steffens, they have sale on Magnolia stamps (40% off), the poor Edwin has band aid on his forehead and his knee...:
Thanks for stopping by! I love to read your comments, if you've got the time to leave one. Have a Merry Christmas (yet)!!

Christmas Day
It has not been enough time to scrapbook these days.
Christmas Eve we had dinner at our apartment, for the very first time. It was quiet - only us 3, very nice. We ate Norwegian "pinnekjøtt" (which is lamb meat), with mashed swede (kålrot) and potatoes. It tasted good, and I was pleased because it was my first try on making that meal.
After eating desert we opened presents, and our son got so many presents! We even saved some presents for today.
I got nice presents this year, including woolen tights, things to the kitchen and some towels. From my husband I got tickets for the AC/DC gig in June, and money to spend at scrapbooking!
Tonight we went to my aunt and uncle for a traditional Christmas dinner party. It was very nice. My nephew is going to stay here with us for a day or two. My son just adores his cousin.
Hope you all enjoy your holidays!

{Soon it's Christmas!}
Hi, everybody visiting my blog! :)
Now, Christmas is soon here, and I'm soon finished doing everything a mom (and wife) has to do before Christmas. 3 things are not done yet: buying some food for the holidays (the pinnekjøtt is in the fridge though), getting a Christmas tree and cleaning the apartment. These 3 things will be done tomorrow! My husband will buy a tree - he promised me!
Seems like a lot to do, but acutally, after doing some Christmas shopping today, I'm not worried. It will be Christmas this year as well, and I think it will be good.
My son is going to kindergarden for some hours tomorrow, so I can finish my 'chores'.
Late yesterday I decorated 5 big chocolate bars for the staff at the kindergarden (where my son's going), I will post photos of them later (probably tomorrow).
I wish you all a very beautiful - and hopefully snowy - Christmas!

Sukkersøtt kalender utfordring #12
Sukkersøtt has this challenge going, a countdown for Christmas. Each day has a new challenge. Well, this day number twelve, has only one requirement: hearts! So my card is pink, and filled with 3 cards and a bird. The bird is a cut out from a patterned paper. Other supplies: Bazzil kraft, American Crafts stickers (numbers), and ink. The card was made for a co workers birthday this month.
The card is folded after looking at Camillas beautiful cards!

I made this candle light after seeing a tutorial in the Hänglar blog. This is so easy, and looks so nice.

{Sukkersøtt challenge "20 gjestedesigner #6}
On Sukkersøtt there is a challenge this week. The challenges are to use a snowman on the card, the card should have blue on it. So here's my card. I used patterned paper from 3ndy Papir, and the stamped image is from Kreativ Hobby, the stamped text is also Kreativ Hobby design. The big blue snowflake, is painted with crackle paint (blue). Used some bling-bling in the corners as well. Thanks for looking!

This card is made with the "sprut og gnikk"-metoden (splash and rub method). I stamped with distress ink on watercolor paper, and then used a mini water spray bottle with water on the paper. After it was dry, I stamped an image (Paperbag studios) with black ink, and put on some embellishments. The card is for a co worker who's turing 40 this month.

Missing Spring time....
My husband helped me to generate a simple signature to put in my blog photos. So here is a photo from this Spring... really miss to go outside with just a t-shirt on... He-he. Well, the photo is of my husband and son sitting on the bench outside our appartment. You see my signature in the upper right side of the photo.

Made this for a challenge (sketch) on Sukkersøtt. I found some scrap papers, which was one of the challenges this week. The stamp is from Hänglar&Stänglar. Also used a vellum paper which is underneath the stamp. I have cut out the pot which is on the original stamp. Click on the image to view a larger image.
Supplies: white and brown Bazzil, scalloped punches, tag punch, brads, distress ink. The Christmas patterned paper I can't remember where is from. Red paper scraps. Glitter glue (red). Stamp (Å jul med din glede....) is from Norsk Stempelblad AS.

{Snow!!!}
Today it's been snowing all day! Yeyh! My son had to be home from kindergarden, there are normally 2 days per semester when they close the kindergarden, for the employees to plan next semester. I went to work by 9 and left 11.30 a.m. Kinda nice, huh. My husband has been sick this week, so he was home too. My son and I went out for a couple of hours and played in the snow. We brougth a new toboggan which I got from work. I got one of these.
My son was smiling and laughing all the time. Had a lot of fun in the snow with mommy! :) And so did I! Have an nice snowy weekend, everybody! I hope the snow last 'til Sunday, at least!
